Put my civic back to life

4gen Fans,

I have a 88 2dr DX and I need info on how to restore my civic with some modifications.
I have a stock 1.5 liter engine I was wondering if I should bother modify that or do an engine swap. My goal is to atleast beat a V6 or atleast keep up with it. And for all other simple change up on the look I would appreciate your suggestions. THANKS

If you want some real speed you will definetely have to swap the engine. ZC(130hp) is the cheapest/easiest, B16A(160hp)=more work/money. You can add I/H/E to your DX but you still will be slower than an Si and you won't keep up with V6's for sure.
I would say go ZC or B16A (that's what I want )
For the looks, paint the bumpers/door handles maybe even the side moldings, get some nice wheels.
Or go for a bodykit, there are several bodykits available, check the products section on this site or check the site in my sig.

Firts go for the Engine Swap! go for the b16a 160hp when you get it change the spark plug's with very good ones, change rods in engine, paint cover of engine to match outside of car! Get a K&N Air filter and pipe! Change Oil to Mobile 1, Chage Oil Filter to Fram Double Gard! Get a Proformance Exhaust! Put 2 resinators on it! Trust me it make the car sound alot better and you get more POWER!! For looks get white rims, Take side moulding's off and door handles, Get Nice Wings West Body Kit! Paint car a Nice Sparkle Blue! Get 2 12" Subs and your set!!! Trust me that car would be SICK!! (The good sick) !
